The American Gem Trade Association (AGTA) recently announced that it has updated its Gemstones and Enhancements – What You Should Know brochure. The 20-page booklet provides comprehensive information on 16 common gemstones.
"These brochures increase consumer confidence by providing information that helps them better understand the gemstones and jewellery they are purchasing," AGTA Chief Executive Officer Douglas K. Hucker said in a news release. "They also provide a quick reference for sales associates when asked about specific gemstones."
According to AGTA, the brochure includes information on amethyst, aquamarine, cultured pearls, citrine, diamond, emerald, garnet, onyx, opal, peridot, ruby, sapphire, tanzanite, topaz, tourmaline and turquoise. The language used in the brochures is consistent with Federal Trade Commission guidelines and helps meet rules for proper disclosure of treated gemstones.
Gemstones and Enhancements brochures are available from AGTA in packs of 50 for $25. You can order online at http://www.agta.org/services/marketing-products-form.html, call Charles Murrell at 800-972-1162 or email sales@agta.org
