Prior to the Swiss Auctions Spring Sale of Important Timepieces on May 7, watch aficionados got a glimpse of the stunning watches at the VIP Gala Cocktail held yesterday at the Pool House, Grand Hyatt Hong Kong.
The gala featured new and vintage watches from luxury brands such as Cartier, Harry Winston and Hublot, as well as unique pieces from three talents from the Horological Academy of Independent Creators.
Celebrity models Samantha Ko and Koni Lui showcased a series of stunning timepieces, including an exclusive 18-karat rose gold Prologue automatic wristwatch by Marc Jenni, the Minimal Wedding Set of wristwatches with matching wedding rings by Aniceto Jiménez Pita and the Primus tourbillion watch by Aaron Becsei.
The event also showcased an 18-karat rose gold Bigger Bang Tourbillon wristwatch by Hublot, which was estimated at between $129,000 to $180,000, and an 18-karat white gold Midnight minute repeater wristwatch by Harry Winston worth $142,000 to $190,000.
"Quality timepieces are not only the most sought after luxury products for collectors, but also the collectables that bear timeless value," said Francis Phua of DKSH Hong Kong, the organiser of the show. "This year, Swiss Auctions also launches our real-time online bidding system. Watch enthusiasts can place their bids online during the actual sale using Swiss Auctions LIVE, which will surely allow bidders to actively participate in the Auctions no matter where they are."
An auction preview is scheduled from May 4 to 6 at the Grand Hyatt Hong Kong. |
